Lloyd Philips Group Pty Ltd became a subsidiary of Kingston Property Constructions in 2003. Kingston has long supported strategic business acquisitions within the service industry and continues to provide a range of value services within the construction, property and civil works sectors. Kingston was established in 1958 as a road contracting and civil engineering business. In 1965, after identifying a gap in the market, Kingston established an agency to source work for operators who owned their own machinery. Toward the end of the 1960s it was decided that the agency process was the preferable business model and consequently Kingston sold off its machinery (often to its employee operators) to concentrate on the development of the agency business.
